Firstly, happy Fourth of July to all of my American friends! I hope you're enjoying the fireworks for me, as they aren't allowed here.

So I went to see Transformers 2. The plot was fairly decent, and the effects were much better than a certain other movie I saw recently which involved a buff Hugh Jackman with very fake looking claws...but anyway...some spoilers ahead. Beware.

So, the part where the Transformer forces Sam down onto the bed and leans over him while he's awkwardly stammering and protesting. That practically screamed attempted rape...which I guess there's nothing really wrong with it. It just was what I thought...just a thought.

There was a lot of Megan Fox eye candy, but that's sort of to be expected. My only real nitpick with her is that when she and Sam end up going somewhere, they're being chased by the Decepticons, and somehow, they find time to change their clothes. Maybe I missed something, but still, they change their clothes.

The epic battle at the end had great effects and lots of action, but it was almost to the point of being tediously long. Maybe I'm the only one who thinks so, but it was very, very, long, and it ended too quickly and abruptly. It was really cool; I just didn't agree with the pacing.

Then, there's the part where Sam gets blasted in the face and all burned and things. He falls, unconcious, and somehow the U.S. army people have the electrical things to try to revive him. Of course, we all know the hero never dies. So he wakes up, okay, and smooches Miss Fox. Like half his face is burnt off (not to mention half his shirt...), and they're kissing. What? The army thought to bring electricity to revive him, but they didn't bring any burn cream? Seriously, why isn't the paramedic patching up his burns?

Oh, and I missed this one. Sam's mom is an idiot. A total idiot. I've never met a real life mom who was that stupid. To quote Forrest Gump, 'And that's all I have to say about that.'
